bibisco Everywhere keeps your projects synced across desktop, phone, and tablet, so you can pick up exactly where you left off on whichever device you have with you. This article covers what it does, what you need to use it, and how to set it up.

What Is bibisco Everywhere? #
bibisco Everywhere is a subscription that syncs your bibisco projects across desktop, Android, iPhone, and iPad. When you update a project on one device, it updates automatically on the others, so:
- You can write on your desktop and continue on your phone or tablet, with no manual export or file transfer
- It works with both the Community Edition and the Supporters Edition of bibisco desktop
bibisco is built as a personal writing tool, not a collaborative one, and that doesn’t change with Everywhere. The desktop app remains the main place to write, where the complete feature set is available. Think of the mobile app as a companion for capturing ideas, reviewing a chapter, or writing on the go, rather than a replacement for your desktop writing sessions.
Please note: bibisco Everywhere and the Supporters Edition are two separate products, and neither includes the other. The Supporters Edition unlocks the full desktop feature set as a one-time purchase; bibisco Everywhere adds sync between mobile and desktop.
The Mobile App Without a Subscription #
The bibisco mobile app is free to download from the App Store and Google Play. Without a bibisco Everywhere subscription, it gives you the Community Edition feature set, with two limits worth knowing about:
- You can export your novel and your novel project, but only in TXT format
- Projects do not sync across devices; that’s what a bibisco Everywhere subscription adds
You also can’t import a project backup file from the mobile app. This is mainly a technical limit: mobile devices may not have enough memory to import very large projects, especially ones with a lot of images.
Requirements #
- bibisco desktop newer than version 5.1.1 (5.1.2 or later). You can check your version under Info → Version in the app. If you need to update, follow how to update bibisco.
- Desktop platforms: Linux, macOS, Windows
- Mobile platforms: Android, iPhone, iPad
- A bibisco account, used to log in and sync across devices
Please note: it’s strongly recommended to keep all your devices on the same bibisco version to avoid sync issues.
How to Set It Up #
- Install the bibisco mobile app on your Android phone/tablet, iPhone, or iPad from the App Store or Google Play.
- Subscribe to bibisco Everywhere. You can do this on the bibisco website through Lemon Squeezy (monthly or annual plans), or from within the iOS app through Apple (monthly only). See the bibisco Everywhere page for current pricing and trial details, or start your subscription directly.
- Log in on every device you want to keep synced, including desktop. On your first login, enter the email address you used to purchase, then click Set password. You’ll get an email to set your password; from then on, log in with that email and password on each device.
- Keep writing. Once you’re logged in on a device, its projects sync automatically. There’s no manual export or file transfer step.
This also works across multiple desktops: log in with the same account on each computer, and all of them stay in sync.
Signing Out #
To sign out of your bibisco account on a device, go to Settings → More → Sign out from your bibisco account.
How Sync Works #
When you update a project on one device, bibisco Everywhere syncs the change to your other logged-in devices. You don’t need to track which copy is the most recent one, bibisco handles that for you. If a device’s copy of a project is older than the version in the cloud, bibisco warns you and lets you choose which version to keep.
Please note: bibisco Everywhere handles sync, not storage. Your projects live on your devices; the service keeps them consistent across them.
Using bibisco Everywhere with the Supporters Edition #
If you have both a bibisco Everywhere subscription and a Supporters Edition license, the Supporters features also become available in the mobile app, with some limitations due to the mobile environment:
- PDF, DOCX, and EPUB export are not available on mobile
- Mind maps are read-only on mobile
Without a Supporters Edition license, the mobile app gives you the Community Edition feature set instead.
Please note: purchasing bibisco Everywhere does not include a Supporters Edition license. The two must be purchased separately; see how to upgrade from Community to Supporters Edition if you want the full desktop feature set.
Managing Your Subscription #
You can cancel anytime, from either:
- The app: Info → Manage Everywhere subscription, or
- The channel you purchased from: for Lemon Squeezy purchases, open your receipt email and click View order; for App Store purchases, manage the subscription from your Apple account.
If you cancel during your free trial, you won’t be charged. If you cancel after that, you keep access until the end of your current billing period.
What Happens to Your Data If You Cancel #
Nothing is lost. Your projects stay exactly as they are on your desktop. Canceling only removes mobile access and sync; your writing stays on your computer.
Pricing #
bibisco Everywhere is billed monthly or yearly through Lemon Squeezy, or monthly through Apple if you subscribe from within the iOS app. The Apple monthly plan costs slightly more than the Lemon Squeezy monthly plan, due to Apple’s platform fees.
